EVCOM Industry Awards 2020
2020 saw the return of the EVCOM Industry Awards – the only awards platform that recognises excellence in both craft and communications across the live, screen and digital communities.
Covid-19 has pressed pause on events this year, so for the first time we went virtual with not just one, but two, awards ceremonies! We celebrated excellence, creativity, cause-driven work and the industry as a whole.
EVCOM Clarion Awards
On the 16th July 2020 we celebrated the EVCOM Clarion Awards, from DRPG’s studios!
The impact of the climate crisis is being felt globally, temperatures are rising, towns are flooding and it is the poorest in our society who bear the brunt. Never before has it been so important to recognise creative work that puts these issues centre stage.
Our range of categories recognise work that promotes diversity and inclusion, social welfare and educational initiatives. We call for the most creative and innovative content in this arena, demanding evidence of best practice and professional excellence.
Projects and events published/ delivered after the 1st May 2019 up until this year‘s deadline, 15th May 2020, were eligible for entry.
As a result of the current situation regarding Coronavirus, we decided to lower the cost of entry for 2020, with a dedicated rate for freelancers, who we know are being hit particularly hard by the lack of support available.
Shortlisted agencies and individuals were invited to attend an entirely sustainable virtual awards ceremony, hosted in collaboration with DRPG. Samme Allen presented the awards and the afternoon featured entertainment and screenings of the winning films as they were announced!
You can find a write up of the ceremony here and details of the winners here. You can also view a selection of the winning films via our youtube channel here. If you missed it, a recording of the ceremony is available below:
EVCOM London Live and Film Awards
The EVCOM London Live and Film Awards also took place virtually on 18th November 2020. They called for the most creative and progressive work being created by agencies and individuals today.
Shortlisted finalists and their guests were invited to watch the ceremony live-streamed. Here the winners were announced and their films screened for everyone to enjoy. We celebrated both the brilliant work that makes the awards scheme what it is, and the industry as a whole in the wake of Covid-19.
Projects delivered after the 1st July 2019 up until this years deadline, 3rd July 2020, were eligible for entry.
As a result of the current situation regarding Coronavirus, we decided to lower the cost of entry for 2020. We have also added a dedicated rate for freelancers, who we know are being hit particularly hard by the lack of support available.
